As a seasoned therapist for over 15 years and a yoga instructor for 10, I specialize in various modalities that balance the left and right brain, as well as the nervous system.

Why Choose My Clinical Supervision Services?

Expertise in Diverse, Trauma-informed Modalities

My supervision services cover a wide range of therapeutic modalities that are on the cutting edge of trauma informed, mind body and holistic therapies that address more than just thoughts, the mind and even the emotions. What I have found working with thousands of clients and with my own mental health and chronic illness journeys is that it is vital to bring the body into healing and that when we use yoga and creative practices to do this, clients feel better, more at ease and relief more quickly.

  • Trauma-Informed Therapy: Despite trauma influencing much of what our clients are experiencing today, it is still not taught in most graduate schools, my alma mater included. Trauma is a part of everything and to dismiss it is to dismiss the human condition. Instead learn about how the body and brain works when it’s in survival mode, understand what types of skills work for your clients and which don’t depending on how they are processing and understand what trauma looks like when it shows up.

  • Mindfulness-Based Therapy: Enhance your practice with mindfulness techniques that will foster a deeper connection to yourself, your work and ofcourse with your clients. Then take these skills and teach them and use them so that your clients can learn them as well. Everything in my practice is viewed through the lens of mindfulness. Having the ability to be aware of the present moment without judgment is the biggest gift we can give our clients from the start because change can only happen after we’ve surrendered to the reality of what is.

  • Creative Arts Therapy: Explore the transformative power of creative expression in many of its forms. If you are a licensed therapist and also have an interest in the creative arts or are an active artist, dancer, writer, performer learn how to incorporate these passions into your sessions. Receive ideas, prompts and practices to help clients process and release pain and stress with the power of creative healing and coming out of the head into the body.

  • Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT): Master the skills of this evidence-based approach for working with emotion regulation, challenging client issues, taking control over the mind, interpersonal effectiveness and more. This treatment is life changing and a collection of skills from multiple modalities combined into one book since the 70’s by Marsha Lineman. A mindfulness based treatment using the dialect of acceptance and change, this treatment help with so much, from keeping your sessions structured to understanding wise mind intuition to tolerating distress and learning how to accept reality better.

  • Internal Family Systems (IFS): Uncover the intricacies of the mind and facilitate profound healing with IFS. This treatment believes that we all have multiplicity of mind and that parts of ourselves become disconnected from our true core based on our experiences growing up. I have not found a treatment more powerful to help clients shift from being blended with chronic moods and long lasting pain and trauma then this treatment. A must to learn more about!

  • Therapeutic Art: Integrate artistic processes into your sessions to unlock new avenues for client expression and insight. When we are working with clients, we are often accessing parts of them from long ago, split off when that person was a child or a much younger developmental age. Art allows these parts to express themselves freely and at their true age. Critical voices come up with clients who are doing art and this is an opportunity to assist them in reparenting protective parts and allowing the inner confident creator from within to come through.

  • Dance & Music Therapy: Explore the power of movement and sound in therapeutic healing using different forms of music and dance. I have found a specific progression helpful when introducing movement to clients and also to use depending on where they are at on any given day. Music has now been shown to help people move in ways they wouldn’t without it and it can also be a shifter of emotion or a container to release it in to. Clients report that music therapy helps them focus their attention in the moment better, feel less concerned about how their bodies look to others and an overall improvement in mood, wellbeing, feeling oxygenated, energized and relaxed.

  • Yoga Therapy: Incorporate yoga principles to promote holistic well-being for both you and your clients. If you are trained as a yoga teacher and would like to bring yoga into your practice more, this is an incredible way to help your clients combine the mind and body and work through issues emotionally, through the fascia and the muscles. Ofcourse the basis of yoga is mindfulness and the breath and having compassion for oneself and others and this is a foundation for how I bring yoga into the session from beginning to end.

  • Somatic Experiencing - this is a powerful mindfulness based check-in that I bring into all of my sessions to help client’s become in touch with their bodies and their own emotion models. We do this in a variety of ways and postures and throughout the sessions at different times.

  • Restorative Practices: Cultivate a therapeutic environment that encourages healing and rest when someone is feeling exhausted or hasn’t been able to turn the survival system off. Ironically when we do restorative practices they can lead to exactly what helps us change and grow, however some clients really need to start with this and move their way up from the ground, literally and figuratively.

  • Group Facilitation If you have a passion for groups like I do and want to build your voice, confidence and curriculum or event, I’d love to support you. Groups are a wonderful modality to build connection and community with others who are going through the same thing. This reduces shame in knowing you aren’t alone and hearing others shared experiences help us gain awareness for ourselves. It is a microcosm for how members show up in other areas of their lives and is a wonderful supplement to individual therapy or potentially as a stand alone depending on where the client is at in their healing journey.

  • Stillness Practices: Learn the art of creating space for stillness, promoting introspection and tranquility during your session while being in silence with your client. This allows nonverbal information that is coming from your client to be shown to them and to you. It allows parts that don’t speak or are younger to show up. It allows clients to tolerate feelings of discomfort, peace and Self energy longer too.

  • Other areas I incorporate: Reiki, ASMR, drumming, writing, mindful walks

  • Continuing Education: Interested in creating your own continuing ed class or program but don’t know where to start? Reach out to set up a session so you can learn how to communicate your expertise.

  • Business Support and Mentoring - This is for therapists, service providers, counselors, creatives and other heart based, conscious entrepreneurs who want to grow their businesses in a sustainable, authentic and ease filled way.
